Quick Snack Recipes to Satisfy a Snack Attack

Spinach Feta Crescent Snacks

If you come into my kitchen, there is one thing guaranteed… I have the ingredients on hand so I can quickly make a snack. Hangry is a thing (getting super irritable when super hungry) and I do everything possible to prevent that from happening. Savory and sweet, these recipes satisfy any of my cravings.

Denise Miles’ (Auburn, AL) Spinach Feta Crescent Snacks take no time to make and are packed with flavor.

“If you love spinach and flaky pastry, this is for you,” says Denise. “It so simple too, if I do say so myself.”

These rolls are flaky and fantastic! Quick and easy to make, they are reminiscent of spanakopita. Feta cheese adds some saltiness to the tasty spinach and mozzarella filling. These are best served warm so a great recipe to freshly make when you’re hungry.

Eileen Hineline (Coolidge, AZ) simple no-frills Cucumber Snacks are so yummy and you only need three ingredients.

“Everyone loves to snack on something,” thinks Eileen. “I like a snack that is crisp and crunchy but also good for you. I love cucumbers and came up with this idea. My oldest son David really enjoyed them.”

I picked the Triscuit flavor like Eileen recommended (dill, olive oil, and sea salt) but use your favorite. The flavor went so well with the tangy Greek cream cheese and the crunchy cool cucumber. This is an easy snack that can be made in 5 minutes.

Another healthy snack option is Sarah Farrand’s (Saginaw, MI) No Bake Energy Bites.

“This ridiculously easy snack food is great for a quick boost of energy,” reveals Sarah. “It is so versatile that you can make it with your own favorites. Add dried fruits, substitute nut butter, use all flax, don’t toast your coconut.. whatever you like!”

These little bites turn out fabulous. They’re filled with healthy ingredients, like oats, toasted coconut, and peanut butter. So good, you wouldn’t know you’re eating something healthy. I, of course, loved the mini chocolate chips in each bite. Sweet, salty, creamy, and filling, they are great when you need just a little something.

Kimi Gaines’ (Orlando, FL) White Trash is an easy snack recipe for kids. “My sister received this in a Christmas gift basket last year and brought it to my moms for Christmas Eve family get together,” explains Kimi. “Mom and I ate the whole bag.”

I’ll admit I ate many bowls of this too. It’s the perfect blend of sweet and salty… and a snap to make to boot. It is addicting, so proceed with caution.

If you like to grab a handful of nuts here and there, make a batch of Jeanne Benavidez’s (Odessa, TX) Spicy Peanuts.

“These are an easy, tasty snack,” says Jeanne. “We love these to snack on when watching TV or movies.”

Once these spicy peanuts are cooled, you’re not going to be able to stop munching on them. The peanuts are toasted and spicy with a nice flavor of garlic and onion from the Cajun spices. Simple ingredients create a fantastic savory snack.
