Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons canola oil
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Creole seasoning or Cajun seasoning (like Tony Chachere's)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground red pepper (cayenne)
  • 2 cups lightly salted party peanuts

How To Make spicy peanuts

  • Spices and oil in a saute pan.
    Step 1
    Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add seasoning and red pepper.
  • Spices and oil mixed together and cooking on the stove.
    Step 2
    Stir until combined.
  • Peanuts added to spices in saute pan.
    Step 3
    Stir in peanuts.
  • Toasting peanuts with spices in saute pan.
    Step 4
    Cook for 2 or 3 minutes, stirring constantly until peanuts are evenly coated and hot.
  • Peanuts cooling on a baking sheet.
    Step 5
    Cool slightly and serve. These are good served warm or cool.
  • Spicy peanuts in a mason jar with a red ribbon.
    Step 6
    Can be stored in a tightly cover container for up to 3 weeks.
