I've got some picky eaters in my family and as I make my own homemade dog food as well I decided to start making my own bean flour and rice flour.
You can use them in place of part of regular flour some recipes including the dog kibble, they are also awesome at thickening soups and stews with better flavor most of the time than other thickeners and, their natural!
