After a tummy bug this is what I make for my family. Very light and calming for a what was an upset tummy. Do not add meat or vegetables, keep as simple as possible. Use vegetable bullion for vegetarians, use rice vermicelli for gluten free.

  • 10 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon chicken bullion powder (or vegetable for vegetarians)
  • 1 cup dried short vermicelli noodles, use rice vermicelli for gluten free

How To Make betty's gastro recovery noodle broth

    Bring the water and bullion to the boil. Add the noodles and boil until cooked - about 5 minutes.

    Turn off the heat and let sit for 5 minutes so the noodles swell, this makes it easier for the tummy to digest. Serve in small bowls.
