Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup minced onion
  • 3 tablespoons whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup low sodium chicken broth,boiled and reduced by half
  • 1/2 cup skim milk

How To Make low cal,low fat cream soups

  • Step 1
    FOR MUSHROOM 1 1/2 cups chopped cremini mushrooms FOR CREAM OF CELERY 1/2 cup minced celery FOR CREAM OF CHICKEN 1 cup finely diced cooked chicken
  • Step 2
    In a suacepan or pot, heat oil on medium. add onion and saute until translucent. add flour and stir for 2 minutes, until golden brown, stir in broth,,milk and optional top flavor ingredient. Bring to a gentle boil, reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 1ed. 10 mins, until thicken, allow to cool and use as desired.
