A very soothing, very filling soup, serve with some crusty bread and a nice salad. Hope you enjoy as much as we do.

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup fine chopped celery
  • 1/8 cup fine chopped carrots
  • 1/8 cup fine chopped white onions
  • 1 - fine chopped seasoned roasted split chicken breast
  • 6 - bay leaves
  • 1 tablespoon chicken base
  • 2 cups water
  • 3/4 cup mixed long grain and wild rice
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon kitchen bouquet

How To Make rice and chicken soup

  • Step 1
    Cook celery, carrots, onions in 2 tablespoons of olive oil till translucent. Add chicken bay leaves and chicken base, cook over medium heat for 3min, add water.
  • Step 2
    When water comes to a boil add rice, cook 30min over medium low heat till white rice in the rice blend is tender. Remove bay leaves, and add kitchen bouquet, heavy cream salt and pepper to taste. Enjoy
