My Mom used to make a stew similar to this one. She didn't use kidney beans in hers. Since I have some picky eaters in my house I will use my mamma's recipe. I love this and its so simple.I like serving it with slices of Cheese and a dollop of sour cream. Hope you enjoy this.

How to Make Mamma's Cabbage Patch Stew

Step-by-Step

  • 1Brown the meat in a large skillet; drain. Add onions, celery, and cabbage; cook until wilted. Add water, Worcestershire sauce, chili powder, salt, and sugar. Add tomatoes and then beans if desired.Cook and cover for 30 minutes.
    Serve with Cheddar Cheese and Sour Cream.
