This is from a scrap of paper I must have cut out of a newspaper a few decades ago. Probably from the Edith Adams Cottage section of the Vancouver Sun.

semi-sweet chocolate chips

quick cooking oats (not instant)
How To Make
Pour half of the brown sugar, raisins, and chocolate pieces into a blender container; blend at high speed for 5 seconds.
Pour into a bowl.
Repeat for remaining brown sugar, raisins and chocolate pieces.
Add butter; cream well. Add oats. Mix until smooth. Shape into 4 logs; roll logs in coconut. Wrap and chill for two hours.
Cut into 1/2 inch slices to serve. Store in a cool place.
