tangy red cabbage
My heritage is German and so a few times a year I hit Schiller's German deli and store in South Tampa. I come away with way too many candies and cookies, but also Westphalian Ham and knockwursts! This is my side dish. My Oma LOVED red cabbage and I always dedicate these dinners to her! The brown sugar is missing in the pic, not sure why!

Ingredients
- 1 medium red cabbage, shredded or chopped roughly
- 6 - cloves, whole
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 4 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 1 1/2 medium apples, sweet, peeled and cored, sliced or chopped
- - salt and pepper to taste
- 2 1/2 tablespoons light brown sugar
How To Make tangy red cabbage

Step 1Combine all ingredients in Instant pot.

Step 2Set to 25 minutes on manual.

Step 3Enjoy with knockwurst, bratwurst, schnitzel or whatever you like!
