This is to make falling-apart soft green beans. This can be helpful for people with IBD when they need to cook their foods really well to a super soft texture. Most recipes of course do not give timing for cooking (over-cooking) to this super soft texture, and it is helpful with a pressure cooker to have times, since you can’t easily peak in & see how far along it is.

How To Make super soft instant pot green beans

Step 1Place trivet rack in Instant Pot. Pour in 2 cups water. Place a mesh metal steamer basket on top, and fill with frozen green beans.

Step 2Pressure cook on high for 9 minutes. Manual steam release. (Total cook time will be 30 minutes, because it takes about 20 minutes to get up to pressure.)
