  • 1 lb
    green beans, trimmed
  • 1/2 tsp
    fresh parsley, minced
  • 1/2 tsp
    fresh oregano, minced
  • 1/2 tsp
    fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 small
    garlic clove, finely minced
  • 1 1/2 Tbsp
    butter, room temperature
  • 1/4 c
    walnut halves, toasted and chopped
  • ·
    salt and pepper

How to Make Lemon Herb Vegetables with Toasted Walnuts


  1. In a wide pan, bring one inch of water to a boil. Add green beans and cook until bright green and crisp tender, about 6 minutes. Drain.
  2. Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix fresh herbs with garlic, butter and salt and pepper to taste.
  3. Transfer hot green beans to a serving bowl and stir in herbed butter. Add salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle with toasted walnuts.
