Ingredients

  • 1 pound green beans, trimmed
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh parsley, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh oregano, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves
  • 1 small garlic clove, finely minced
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons butter, room temperature
  • 1/4 cup walnut halves, toasted and chopped
  • - salt and pepper

How To Make lemon herb vegetables with toasted walnuts

  • Step 1
    In a wide pan, bring one inch of water to a boil. Add green beans and cook until bright green and crisp tender, about 6 minutes. Drain.
  • Step 2
    Meanwhile, in a small bowl, mix fresh herbs with garlic, butter and salt and pepper to taste.
  • Step 3
    Transfer hot green beans to a serving bowl and stir in herbed butter. Add salt and pepper to taste and sprinkle with toasted walnuts.
