- 6 cups cucumbers, sliced thin
- 1 large onion, sliced thin
- 2 tablespoons pickling salt
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup white vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tablespoons dill seed
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper
How To Make freezer dills

Step 1In a large bowl, combine cucumbers and onion. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of the salt over the vegetables; let stand for 2 hours. Rinse under cold water, drain well.

Step 2In a large glass bowl, combine sugar, vinegar, garlic, dill seed, and red pepper. Stir well to dissolve sugar. Add cucumbers and onion. Combine.

Step 3Pack into freezer containers and store in freezer. Defrost in refrigerator at least 8 hours before serving.
