How to Make Freezer Dills
- In a large bowl, combine cucumbers and onion. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of the salt over the vegetables; let stand for 2 hours. Rinse under cold water, drain well.
- In a large glass bowl, combine sugar, vinegar, garlic, dill seed, and red pepper. Stir well to dissolve sugar. Add cucumbers and onion. Combine.
- Pack into freezer containers and store in freezer. Defrost in refrigerator at least 8 hours before serving.
