the tomato that "makes" the burger!

I had a grilled tomato slice at a grill with my Mom one day, it was just supposed to be a garnish but I tasted it and it gave me this idea!

Ingredients

  • 1 large slicing tomato
  • - rosemary, dried
  • - garlic salt or powder
  • - parmesan cheese
  • 1 - grill or smoker

How To Make the tomato that "makes" the burger!

  • Step 1
    Slice your tomato 1/2" thick, add rosemary (crushed), garlic powder OR salt and parmesan to both sides of tomato slice. I pat the seasonings into the tomato gently
  • Step 2
    grill or smoke on each side with indirect heat just long enough to warm the tomato so it absorbs the seasonings (maybe 1-2 minutes per side). Add to burgers to make them out of this world or just eat as a snack!
  • Step 3
    When we BBQ, if I don't make at least enough of these for every single burger, I am in deep trouble!!
