I had a grilled tomato slice at a grill with my Mom one day, it was just supposed to be a garnish but I tasted it and it gave me this idea!

How to Make The Tomato that "Makes" the Burger!

Step-by-Step

  1. Slice your tomato 1/2" thick, add rosemary (crushed), garlic powder OR salt and parmesan to both sides of tomato slice.
    I pat the seasonings into the tomato gently
  2. grill or smoke on each side with indirect heat just long enough to warm the tomato so it absorbs the seasonings (maybe 1-2 minutes per side).
    Add to burgers to make them out of this world or just eat as a snack!
  3. When we BBQ, if I don't make at least enough of these for every single burger, I am in deep trouble!!
