We all grew up with sugar-coated dreams and visions of dancing sugar plums. In some Scandinavian countries, the children are lucky 'cause they grow up eating sugar-coated potatoes! Sounds good to me!

    sugar or splenda
  • 1 Tbsp
    water
  • 1/4 tsp
    salt
  • 2 can
    (14-1/2 ounces each) whole potatoes, drained and dried with paper towels

    In a nonstick skillet, over medium-high heat, heat the sugar, water, and salt until the sugar has melted and the mixture forms a light brown syrup, about 4 minutes, stirring constantly. Reduce the heat to low, then add the potatoes, coating them with the syrup. Heat for about 6 minutes or until the potatoes are heated through and evenly coated, stirring constantly.
