This is perfect for the winter holidays. **Note - This recipe can be made up to 4 days ahead of time.

Ingredients

  • 1 - 12 oz. bag fresh cranberries
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon allspice
  • 3 tablespoons orange juice or brandy

How To Make crimson baked cranberries

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Step 2
    Combine cranberries, sugar, cinnamon and allspice in a small baking dish. Cover and bake until sugar melts and mixture bubbles, stirring once, about 55 minutes or so.
  • Step 3
    Uncover and bake until liquid is syrupy, about 10 minutes longer, Immediately stir in the orange juice OR brandy.
  • Step 4
    Let sauce cool to room temperature.
  • Step 5
    Cover and refrigerate at least 1 hour. Serve chilled.
