ranch dressing

This is much better than store bought and as good as restaurants who make their own house ranch. It's my go-to ranch dressing which is much less expensive than store bought, and I know exactly what is in it. This can easily be turned into Buttermilk Ranch by adding a little buttermilk.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise or miracle whip
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried chives
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried dill weed
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon granulated garlic or powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon granulated onion or powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh cracked black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk (optional)

How To Make ranch dressing

  • Step 1
Whisk all ingredients together until well blended. Refrigerate at least 30 minutes before using. The longer the better. Recipe can be multiplied.
  • Step 2
Tips: Make a larger batch of dried seasonings and store in air tight container or mason jar. When ready to make dressing just use 3 1/2 teaspoons per 1 cup mayo and 1/2 cup sour cream. For a thinner dressing add 1/2 cup milk or buttermilk, or as much as needed to reach the desired consistency. Keep refrigerated.
