    salad oil
  • 2
    shallots, quartered
  • 1 large
    clove garlic, halved
  • 3 Tbsp
    balsamic vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp
    creole mustard
  • 1/3 c
  • 15
    basil leaves
  • ·
    salt to taste
  • 2 tsp
    black pepper, freshly cracked
  • 1/2 tsp
    cayenne pepper, or to taste

How to Make Basil Vinaigrette Dressing


  1. Place all ingredients in food processor except oil and turn on.
  2. Slowly drizzle oil to emulsify. Check for seasoning and adjust if needed.
