Mayonnaise from an old recipe when eggs were scarce (WW1).

Tangy and so fast to make!

Ingredients

  • ·
    1/2 teaspoon salt
  • ·
    1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
  • ·
    1/2 teaspoon pepper (or less)
  • ·
    3 - 4 tablespoons evaoprated milk - be sure to shake the can well first
  • ·
    1/4 cup mild oil (i like rice bran oil or a light fruity olive oil)
  • ·
    2 tablespoons vinegar - you can be creative here if you wish. don't use balsamic though!!

How to Make Betty's Eggless Mayonnaise

Step-by-Step

  1. In a bowl combine the seasonings and the milk. Gradually add the oil with a beater and mix. Beat in the vinegar, if it gets to thick - add a little more milk.
