With the super bowl parties coming up and me on a low fat diet, I decided to make something a little healthier with less fat, but with lots of flavor, that I and others could enjoy quilt free! This is perfect. But you have to make sure and use very fresh ingredients. Believe me, it makes a world of difference!

    10 oz container roasted garlic hummus
  • 1
    10 oz container red pepper hummus
  • 3/4 c
    feta cheese, fresh, crumbled
  • 3/4 c
    peeled, diced cucumber
  • 1/2 c
    fresh lg tomato, diced
  • 1/2 c
    fresh, from the deli, finely chopped kalamata olives
  • 1/4 c
    good quality olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp
    crushed fresh oregano
  • 1 pkg
    fresh, soft pita bread, cut into triangles

How To Make taste explosion greek layer dip

    In a 8" glass pie pan, or decorative pan, Layer garlic hummus, red pepper hummus, feta cheese, cucumber, tomato and kalamata olives.

    In small bowl, whisk together olive oil and oregano. Drizzle over top of dip. Gently place plastic wrap over the top. Refrigerate at least one hr to meld the flavors well.

    Serve with a small spoon and a plate of fresh cut pita triangles. Please make sure the pita bread is very fresh and very soft. Also make sure to use fresh olives, not jarred or canned. This makes a huge difference!
