- 1 bunch asparagus, tough ends removed
- 1 tablespoon coarse sea salt, or as needed
- 2 quarts boiling water

Step 1Remove the tough ends of the spears; discard them

Step 4Remove them using a slotted spoon and plunge them in an ice water bath. Leave them there until cool off.
