I use to love when my dad made these rolls. The scent of them cooking always filled the house.

    lg cabbage leaves
  • 1 lb
    ground turkey breast
  • 1
    egg, beaten
  • 1 c
    cooked whole grain rice
  • 1/4 c
  • 8 oz
    tomato sauce
  • 1/4 c
    finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp
    light brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp
    each salt & pepper
  • 1 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1 Tbsp
    lemon juice

How to Make Dads easy cabbage rolls


  1. Place cabbage leaves in a lg pot of boiling water, boil until leaves are limp. In bowl, combine egg, milk, onion, salt, pepper, ground turkey and rice. Mix well.
  2. Place 1/4 cup of turkey mix in center of cooled cabbage leaf. Fold in sides and roll up. Place cabbage leaves in a slow cooker.
  3. In another bowl, combine tomato sauce, brown sugar, lemon juice and worcestershire sauce. Pour over cabbage rolls. Cover slow cooker, cook on low for 7 hrs.
