This was one of my Grandmother Phillips recipes. It's a one dish meal and very good.

Ingredients

thick loin pork chops
1/4 c
uncooked white or brown rice
4 slice
thick cut bermuda onion
4 slice
tomatoe thickly sliced
4 slice
green peppers without seeds and thickly sliced
2 1/2 c
beef bouillon
1/4 tsp
thyme
1/2 tsp
marjoram
salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Pork Chops and Rice

Step-by-Step

  • 1Saute chops on both sides. Place chops in a low buttered casserole and place 1 tablespoon of dry rice on each chop.
  • 2Place one slice of onion, one slice of green pepper, one slice of tomato on top of each chop.
  • 3Pour bouillon over all and sprinkle with the herbs, salt and pepper. Cover and place in a 350 degrees oven and cook for about 50 minutes.
