This was my Grandma Phillips recipe. When she needed to fill in the budget gap she made this dish.

Ingredients
- 3 cups macaroni cooked
- 4 - large green peppers
- 1/2 pound country sausage
- 2 tablespoons chili sauce
- 1 teaspoon chives chopped
- 3/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
How To Make baked peppers with macaroni and sausage

Step 1Cut away the tops of peppers and remove the seeds and fibers. Parboil for 5 minutes, drain, and cover with cold water.

Step 2Saute sausage, crumbling as it cooks, pour off excess fat, mix with drained macarone and chili sauce.

Step 3Drain peppers, and fill with the sausage mixture, place in a casserol dish and cover with grated cheese and chopped chives.

Step 4Pour 1/2 cup of water around peppers abd bake in a medium oven ( 350 ) until well heated and as brown on top as you like them.
