Ingredients For pea stew

  • 2 c
    fresh green peas, cleaned
  • 2 Tbsp
    fresh dill, chopped
  • 1 md
    yellow onion, diced
  • 2 md
    carrots, chopped
  • 2 md
    potatoe, cut into chunks
  • 4 md
    fresh tomatoes, diced
  • 2 tsp
    sea salt, fresh ground
  • 1/2 tsp
    black pepper, fresh ground
  • 4 c
    hot water
  • 1 pinch
  • 4 Tbsp
    olive oil

How To Make pea stew

    Turn the heat on medium high and saute the onion in olive oil, until they are translucent.

    Next add the carrots and the tomatoes, mix well. When it starts to boil lower the temperature to medium and add the peas and potatoes.

    Now add the water, dill, salt & pepper and paprika, making sure to stir well. Cover once it starts to boil, then lower the temperature to medium low and simmer for 40 - 50 minutes. Add more water if necessary. The vegetables are soft when done.

    Serve hot with a nice loaf of bread.
