    On the round side of the nut (not the flat side), score the skin by making an "x".

    Place them in lukewarm water and soak for 1 hour.

    Put them on a baking sheet and transfer to a 425ºF preheated oven; bake for 20 minutes (if some are not fully open, leave them in longer)
  • 4
    Place the roasted nuts in a clean dish towel and wrap them tightly; let them steam for 15 minutes.

    When time is up, gently press on the towel to break the shells. Peel them immediately and remove the inner skin.
