poached shrimp
This is a very quick way to make shrimp and oh so tasty. I served with some steamed green beans and my forbidden rice with a twist. The rice recipe is also posted here.

Ingredients
- 1 pound jumbo shrimp (10-15 count)
- 2 tablespoons old bay seasoning
- 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon ancho chili powder
- 1 can beer
- 1 - lemon
- - water
- 2 tablespoons butter
How To Make poached shrimp

Step 1De-vein shrimp but leave in shell

Step 2Add water, beer, seasonings, and thinly sliced lemon to a deep skillet. Bring to a boil the reduce to a low simmer

Step 3Add shrimp and let poach 3-5 minutes until pink

Step 4Serve with lemon and melted butter. I like to add a bit of garlic to my butter ( optional)
