This is a casserole dish that was made for me by a dear friend.It is quick and easy.Often served in her Dutch household.

Ingredients

6
beligan endive
dash
freshly grated nutmeg
6 slice
gruyere cheese or swiss, thinly sliced
6 slice
boars head pesto ham thinly sliced or your choice
1 tsp
butter for greasing baking dish

SERVE WITH POTATOES,RED CABBAGE AND CARROT MASHED WITH BUTTER & CREAM

How to Make Beligan Endive and ham casserole

Step-by-Step

  • 1Par boil Beligan endive for 10 mins.
  • 2Drain endive, let cool until able to handle.
  • 3Wrap each Beligan endive first with ham and then with cheese.
  • 4Place side by side in the buttered baking dish.
  • 5Dash a small amount of fresh grated nutmeg.
  • 6Cover and bake at 350 for 20-25 mins.Ucover the last 5 minutes.
