- 1 can green beans, drained and chopped
- 1 can corn, drained
- 1 can chopped green chiles
- 1 large can refried beans
- 1 jar salsa, (we like chunky and hot)
- 1 or 2 - jalapenos, fresh & chopped (optional)
- 1 package taco seasoning mix
- 1 package shredded cheddar cheese
How To Make mexican garbage can or mexican lasagna
-
Step 1To the browned ground beef add the chopped green beans, corn, green chilies, refried beans, salsa, jalapenos and taco seasoning. Mix together until well blended.
-
Step 2Spray crock pot with Pam, put some of the beef mixture on bottom, make a layer with the tortillas, another layer of meat mixture, and sprinkle with cheddar cheese (we like it cheesy), repeat layering until crock pot is full, ending with cheese.
-
Step 3Cook on low for 4-5 hours. Serve with chopped tomatoes, sour cream, shredded lettuce, and more salsa if you want. We also like to add Crunchy Tortilla chips as a side.
