How to Make Mexican Garbage Can or Mexican Lasagna

  • 1To the browned ground beef add the chopped green beans, corn, green chilies, refried beans, salsa, jalapenos and taco seasoning. Mix together until well blended.
  • 2Spray crock pot with Pam, put some of the beef mixture on bottom, make a layer with the tortillas, another layer of meat mixture, and sprinkle with cheddar cheese (we like it cheesy), repeat layering until crock pot is full, ending with cheese.
  • 3Cook on low for 4-5 hours. Serve with chopped tomatoes, sour cream, shredded lettuce, and more salsa if you want. We also like to add Crunchy Tortilla chips as a side.
