This is my “adult” version of the Shamrock Shake. It is simple to make and comes at a perfect time on the calendar, when we celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.

So, you ready… Let’s get into the kitchen.

How to Make Drink Essentials: Adult Shamrock Shake

Step-by-Step

  1. PREP/PREPARE
  2. Gather your Ingredients (mise en place).
  3. Add everything but the whipped cream to a blender, and blend until smooth, and creamy.
  4. Chef’s Note: For an added treat, take a peppermint candy cane, place it into a small baggie, and smash it up into bits, then sprinkle the bits on top of the whipped cream. If you can get a green candy cane, you get extra bonus points :-)
  5. Chef’s Note: If you make your own whipped cream, then add a drop or two of green food coloring to the whipped cream… more bonus points.
  6. PLATE/PRESENT
  7. Divide between two glasses, and top with whipped cream. Enjoy.
  8. Keep the faith, and keep drinking... err cooking.
