  • 1/2 c
    cold water
  • 2 pkg
    envelopes unflavored gelatin
  • 4 c
  • 2 c
  • 1 tsp
  • 3 c
    half and half
  • 2 tsp
    real vanilla extract

How to Make Dairy Queen Ice Cream Copy Cat


  1. Put the two envelopes of gelatin into 1/2 cup cold water.Stir it up real good.Set aside.
  2. Heat the four cups of regular milk until hot but not boiling.Add gelatin and stir-stir-stir.
  3. Add two cups sugar--one tsp salt--and three cups of half and half.Also add 2 tsp vanilla.Stirrring.
  4. Now take pan off stove and put in fridge for 6 hours,then place in ice cream gallon bucket or any other container and put in the freezer until later.Makes 1 gallon of great ice cream,just like soft serve at the old Dougs Dairy Twirl when I was a little girl.
