low fat oatmeal raisin cookies

These cookies are delicious and subtly sweet. You would never know they were low in fat. Great for a snack when you are trying to watch your fat and calorie intake. 2 smart points weight watchers per cookie. This recipe has been changed from an original high fat recipe. They only have one gram of fat,and 50 calories per cookie.They are filling,and keep me satisfied. I bet you can't eat just one. :-)

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 - baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar packed
  • 1/3 cup unsweetened apple sauce
  • 1/4 cup butter meltted
  • 1 - egg white
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 cups quick oats (rolled oats)
  • 3/4 cup raisins, or craisins

How To Make low fat oatmeal raisin cookies

  • Step 1
    Note: You'll want to double the recipe. They are that good.
  • Step 2
    heat oven to 375 degree's. Line a baking sheets with parchment paper or spray with canola oil spray
  • Step 3
    Sift flour, baking soda, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt together.
  • Step 4
    in a separate bowl. Beat brown sugar, granulated sugar, apple sauce, butter, egg white, and vanilla together.
  • Double batch recipe of cookie dough
    Step 5
    Add the flour mixture to the sugar mixture. Stir to combine. Mix in the oatmeal. Mix in raisins, or craisins.
  • Step 6
    Drop by teaspoons on to sheet pan. Bake at 375 degree's for 8-10 minutes or until browned.
  • Step 7
    Note: Drop in 2 teaspoon measurements for a bigger cookie.They will be 100 calories. You may also refrigerate the cookie dough for an hour before using. It will hold the dough together better.
