This is a simple and delicious recipe that I have made for many years. My family loves them and they are delicious with tea or coffee or milk

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter, cold
  • 2 cups white sugar
  • 2 - eggs
  • 3 1/2 cups self rising flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla flavoring
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, ground

How To Make verna's tea cakes

  • Step 1
    Cream the butter and sugar by beating together.
  • Step 2
    Add the flour a little at a time and then the eggs that are slightly beaten.
  • Step 3
    Mix in the flavoring and the cinnamon and drop by teaspoonful on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Step 4
    Bake at 400 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Makes 3 dozen.
