This kid-friendly, fun, and delicious recipe receives two thumbs up from the Registered Dietitian. I made it for the kid in me, and one day I hope to make it with my own kids.

Ingredients

1
whole grain waffle
1/2
small banana
1
strawberry
1
fig
1/4 c
fat free strawberry yogurt
3
walnut halves
2
raisins
6
blueberries
2
grapes
1
piece of cereal

Step-By-Step

1Place waffle in the toaster.
2Slice banana. Cut strawberries in half. Cut ends off fig and then cut into two slices.
3Spread yogurt on waffle with a small spatula or knife.
4If cooking with a child, have the child create his or her own robot waffle (e.g. place the figs as eyes with raisins in the center of each fig, walnuts as hair, blueberries as a mouth, grapes as arms, strawberries as feet, cereal as a nose, and bananas as the ground).
5Enjoy for a fun, delicious, and nutritious breakfast!
