Ingredients
- 1/2 cup all purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cornmeal
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup diced ham or other lunch meat
- 3 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1 cup diced fresh pineapple
- 3/4 cup maple syrup
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
How To Make my daddy's pancakes with pineapple syrup

Step 1In a large bowl, combine the first six ingredients. Combine eggs, buttermilk, butter and vanilla.Stir into dry ingredients until well blended.Fold in ham.

Step 2Pour batter by 1/4 cupfuls onto a greased hot griddle. Turn when bubbles form on top; cook until second side is golden brown.

Step 3For syrup, in a small saucepan ,saute pineapple in a butter for 5 minutes or until pineapple is brown.Stir in cinnamon and maple syrup.Serve on top of the pancakes.
