Dating myself! 1979, I was 19 years old and newly married. My downstairs neighbor, Linda Garlington made this, and the aroma wafted up to our apartment. She shared a loaf of this wonderful bread with me that day near Christmas and I have been making it ever since. It is just plain wonderful! What else can I say? The addition of wheat germ makes me think I am eating healthy! My principal has a nut allergy so I am bringing this recipe to our cookie/treat exchange. It's a winner every time. Don't wait! Slice this up and eat it as soon as it comes out of the oven with butter. Love 2 U.
