This is another one of my Grandma's recipes, back in the day when you baked corn bread in cast iron skillets. I also make fried cornbread from this as well and it's quick and easy.

Ingredients
- 2 - eggs slightly beaten
- 1 1/4 cups milk
- 1/4 cup melted shortening
- 1 1/2 cups yellow corn meal
- 3/4 cup sifted flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
How To Make grandma delleplain corn bread

Step 1Beat eggs and milk and shortening together,

Step 2Sift remaining ingredents together, add the egg mixture and beat well.

Step 3Pour into a greased shallow castiron pan and bake in hot oven 400 degrees until it shrinks from the side of pan about 29-25 minutes.
