Ingredients

  • 1 cup self rising corn meal
  • 2 tablespoons self rising flour
  • 1 can (15 oz.) cream-style corn
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/4 cup corn oil
  • 2 - eggs
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pimentos
  • 1 teaspoon dried minced onion

How To Make sour cream cornbread

  • Step 1
    In a large bowl, mix corn meal and flour. Add all other ingredients and mix thoroughly.
  • Step 2
    Pour mixture into a greased 8x8-inch pan. Bake in a preheated 400º oven for 25 to 35 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Cut into squares to serve. Delicious with butter or covered with creamed chicken, roast beef and gravy, or sliced turkey and gravy.
