This lovely soda bread is firm and dense. Even though it smells amazing when baking, this bread has no sugar. It will still have you drooling in no time.

Ingredients

  • 3 5/8 cups flour
  • 2 cups greek yogurt
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • olive oil

How To Make soda bread - albanian style

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 400. In a bowl add the flour, baking soda and salt. Make a well in the middle and add the yogurt. Gently combine until a dough forms.
  • Step 2
    Put some flour on your work surface and kneed the dough. Adding extra flour if necessary. The dough is ready when it is only slightly sticky.
  • Step 3
    Add a little oil to your baking pan and place the flatten dough ball on top; then cover the entire dough ball with olive oil.
  • Step 4
    Place the pan on the bottom shelf of a pre heated oven. Bake the bread for 35 - 40 minutes, until golden and firm to touch.
  • Step 5
    Place the bread on a rack to cool. When ready to serve cut into 8 wedges.
