These are fabulous, Soft and have a wonderful flavor. serve hot or cold. The honey helps keep them soft longer and adds a light sweet flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup milk, scalded
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 3 teaspoons yeast
  • 1/4 cup warm water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 5 cups flour
  • 2 large eggs

How To Make honey rolls

  • Step 1
    Stir the butter and honey into the hot scalded milk and stir until the butter melts, cool until only lukewarm.
  • Step 2
    Dissolve the yeast in the warm water and add to the cooled milk mixture along with the salt and 2 cups of the flour.
  • Step 3
    Blend in the eggs and the rest of the flour to make a soft dough.
  • Step 4
    Knead lightly until smooth.
  • Step 5
    Place in a buttered bowl, cover , and let rise until double.
  • Step 6
    Shape into rolls and place in a buttered 9x13 pan. Cover and let rise again.
  • Step 7
    Bake in a 400 degree oven for 15 minutes or until tops are golden.
