Pizza is the perfect food. I will do just about anything for pizza. Or I should say, I used to do just about anything for pizza. Then bad things happened with my body and suddenly pizza is verboten. I’ve spent the last two years trying crust recipes, not liking them, playing with them, until finally I have one that works for me. I’m sharing in hopes that it might work for others as well. Here is my Gluten-Free, Egg-Free, Sugar-Free, Dairy-Free, Yeast-Free Pizza Crust

prep time 10 Min
cook time 20 Min
method ---
yield 4 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon flax seeds, ground into meal
  • 3 tablespoons water
  • 2 cups bob’s red mill all-purpose gluten-free baking flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 teaspoons gluten-free baking powder
  • 2/3 cup water
  • 1/4 cup olive oil

How To Make gluten-free pizza crust

  • Step 1
Put the flax meal in a tea cup with 3 Tbsp. water and let it soak for 5 minutes.
  • Step 2
Mix the dry ingredients in a ceramic or plastic bowl. Add the wet ingredients and stir well. Your mix should have the consistency of a batter, not a dough. Don’t panic! This is exactly how it should be.
  • Step 3
Spread the mix into a stoneware baking pan. (I’m assuming this would also work on a greased metal baking sheet, but I haven’t tested that. Let me know if you try it and how it works out.)
  • Step 4
Add your sauce and toppings. Bake at 450 degrees F for 12 minutes.
