This is my tried and tested recipe for bread. I live up the mountain so I don't get to see the baker or supermarket every day. We love this bread, it is soft while not too fluffy or too dense, tastes great, it has great texture. I like adding linseed, sunflower and pumpkin seeds but you can make your own mix. Also good with chopped pecan or walnut.

- 1 cup warm water
- 1/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 3 1/2 cups wholewheat flour
- 1 package dried yeast
- 1/2 cup mixed seeds-nuts

Step 1Put water, milk, salt, sugar and butter in the breadpan first. Then the flour, yeast and seed mix.

Step 2Turn on breadmachine. Use the Fast baking setting (the shorter programme for baking bread, mine takes about 2 hours). Don't use the 4 hour 'wholewheat setting'.

Step 3Relax and wait for the beep.
