- 1 1/2 cups sugar
- 1/2 cup crisco
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 - eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 cups flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 4 - large bananas
- 1 cup crushed nuts if desired
How To Make banana bread

Step 1Cream sugar, salt and Crisco in medium mixing bowl. Add eggs and beat well. Dissolve baking soda in the warm water and add to mixture. Add vanilla.

Step 2Mash bananas in skins and chop nuts. Add to mixture, beating lightly. Slowly add flour and beat thoroughly.

Step 3Bake in loaf pan at 350 degrees for 1 hour or until done. Mini loaf pans will be done in less than 1 hour.
