Ingredients

  • 21/2 Tbsp
    vegetable oil
  • 2 lb
    beef stew meat
  • 4 c
    beef stock or broth
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/4 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 small
    onion
  • 3
    carrots cut into 1 inch pieces
  • 1 c
    sliced mushrooms
  • 1 c
    peas
  • 1 c
    sliced celery

How to Make TRADITIONAL BEEF STEW EDDIE STYLE

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat slow cooker @ 375 degrees.
  2. Add oil and brown meat in a skillet add to the slow cooker.
  3. Add stock, salt, pepper. Cover and cook on low 1 to 2 hours.
  4. Add remaining ingredients cover and cook 30 minutes more or until vegetables are tender.
  5. If desired, thicken with a paste made with cornstarch and water.
