Ingredients
- 21/2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 pounds beef stew meat
- 4 cups beef stock or broth
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 small onion
- 3 - carrots cut into 1 inch pieces
- 1 cup sliced mushrooms
- 1 cup peas
- 1 cup sliced celery
How To Make traditional beef stew eddie style

Step 1Preheat slow cooker @ 375 degrees.

Step 2Add oil and brown meat in a skillet add to the slow cooker.

Step 3Add stock, salt, pepper. Cover and cook on low 1 to 2 hours.

Step 4Add remaining ingredients cover and cook 30 minutes more or until vegetables are tender.

Step 5If desired, thicken with a paste made with cornstarch and water.
