This hummus is delicious and the bowl is empty at the end of a function.

6-8 for a single mixture, 12-16 if you double the recips.

  • 1 can(s)
    chick peas
  • 1/4 c
    fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 pkg
  • 2 - 3 clove
    garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 tsp
    olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground cumin
  • 1/2 tsp
  • ·
    salt & pepper to taste
  • ·
    chopped cilantro or parsley for garnish

How to Make HUMMUS


  1. tahini is a sesame seed paste and is available in supermarkets, health food stores, and Middle Eastern & Asian specialty shops.
  2. Combine all ingredients in an electric food processor or blender and process until smooth, adding a few drops of water if necessary. Drizzle olive oil on top and garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley and serve with crackers or pita bread.
  3. Serves about 6-8 people. If you have a large group double the recipe.
