This hummus is delicious and the bowl is empty at the end of a function.

yield 6-8 for a single mixture, 12-16 if you double the recips.

Ingredients

  • 1 can chick peas
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 package tahini
  • 2 - 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon coriander
  • - salt & pepper to taste
  • - chopped cilantro or parsley for garnish

How To Make hummus

  • Step 1
    tahini is a sesame seed paste and is available in supermarkets, health food stores, and Middle Eastern & Asian specialty shops.
  • Step 2
    Combine all ingredients in an electric food processor or blender and process until smooth, adding a few drops of water if necessary. Drizzle olive oil on top and garnish with chopped cilantro or parsley and serve with crackers or pita bread.
  • Step 3
    Serves about 6-8 people. If you have a large group double the recipe.
