Ingredients

  • - apples
  • 2 tablespoons salt
  • 1 gallon water

How To Make dried apples

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 180 degrees F.
  • Step 2
    Combine salt and water in a container large enough to hold both water and apples.
  • Step 3
    Peel, core, and slice apples into rings about 1/8" thick.
  • Step 4
    Place apples in salt water solution for 15 minutes.
  • Step 5
    Spread apples in one layer on large baking sheets and place in the oven for about 3-4 hours or until dry, turning occasionally.
