Ha! Well, Weight Watchers doesn't stand a chance against this cake, unfortunately, that is. :) Thank you for sharing your story, and when you do make it again, I hope you have delicious but less gooey results! Thanks, Sherri!!

Hi Traci. Cake had cooled for 2 hours. Caramel sauce was in the fridge before using and ganache had cooled and I used a spoonful at a time. Maybe put the ganache in the fridge for a few minutes. Anyway, I appreciate you writing back. Yes, the b'day girl and her husband were eating it for breakfast and she's on Weight Watchers. Oops. So it was quite the temptation. Will definitely make it again. Thank you!

Hmmm, Sherri - I'm trying to think. Maybe if the ganache was too warm, letting it cool a little more? I think that the other items might have slid off of the cake if the ganache was that slick. It seems like if it was a little thicker and a little more tacky in texture, that would have helped it not puddle and also hold things on top of the cake.

When I put mine on, I used a spoon and drizzled it a spoonful at a time, pretty slowly.

I'm just not sure what else to do other than suggesting using cooler ganache, caramel sauce and making sure the cake is completely cooled, too.

I have to say, that a big sloppy chocoloate mess still tastes good - and sounds like the birthday girl agreed! lol! I'm glad she liked it, but really am sorry that I'm not more helpful in troubleshooting.

Hi Traci. I made your cake yesterday and it was delicious and everyone loved it, but my cake did not look like this. I put the ganache on and it puddled all over the place. Then when I put the caramel sauce on, same thing. When I put the chips and the snickers bars on the top, everything slid down the sides and into the middle. Maybe I didn't get my ganache thick enough? Don't know what happened. Everyone's pictures all look so nice and mine was a big sloppy mess. Someone commented it looked like a volcano had erupted - ha ha!!! But the birthday girl did beg me to leave the rest of the cake with her, so it was definitely a hit. Any tips?
