Rose I believed you the first time,, but it is obvious that your oven does heat extremely high when compared to mine, but that is true with ovens too. Again I am sorry.

I just added a photo of my microwave so that you can see that it is an 1100 watt oven....per the sticker.
I don't understand it either, Rose Mary. I know it's a good recipe. So I'm sure it has something to do with the microwave. Perhaps they put the wrong sticker on it. Is that possible?
Anyway, I know it's a good recipe and I will try again.

I AM REALLY SORRY THAT THIS WAS YOUR RESULTS. WOW ROSE that really is burnt. i HAVE NEVER HAD ANY TO COME OUT THAT DARK BEFORE. iT LOOKS LIKE IT IS OVERCOOKED. If making this recipe and only cooking for 10 minutes, I would say it is definitely over cooking too high, or perhaps for your microwave the power is even higher.

You did use the salted peanuts and not the Honey Roasted. IT LOOKS LIKE THE AMOUNT YOU WOULD GET, BUT CERTAINLY NOT THAT DARK. I am just baffled by what may have happened. AGAIN I AM SO SORRY.

i DO STAND BY THIS RECIPE AS I HAVE MADE IT SO MANY TIMES OVER THE YEARS WITH EXCEPTIONAL RESULTS, and never had a batch that turned out this dark. I know you are a well seasoned cook so I am as stunned as you are. Looks like it cooked too long. PLEASE KEEP ME POSTED.
