I’m a self-taught home cook whose passion for cooking began while living as a young Air Force wife in Panama in the mid-1980s, where I learned essential kitchen skills—including baking bread—from a fellow Air Force wife. From those early lessons, I developed a lifelong love of cooking, and experimenting in the kitchen. Over the years, I expanded into canning garden produce and even participated in chili cook-offs and other food competitions. I still find joy in cooking for family and friends and creating memories around the table.
