When I was a teen I worked at a restaurant in the keys. I made the cocktail sauces and tartar sauces. I still make it at home. Mayo, relish lemon juice and Worcestershire. Perfect.

I love adding Capers to my sauce adds great flavor

I use pretty much the same ingredients in my tarter sauce. But I like to use finely chopped sweet vidalia onions and I add a little old bay seasoning to mine. Nothing better than homemade tarter sauce, and it's so simple to make. I can eat it on almost anything

Dill relish or chopped dill spears has always been the way to go in our huge family. Ilike the idea of some grated hard boiled eggs. Nice touch.

This is very fancy, and I would certainly try it. I have always made a quick version of mayo, dill or sweet relish (whichever I happened to have , or depending on the fish), a bit of hot sauce or horseradish. The storebought stuff is not anything special, in my opinion, especially when this is so easy!

Yes, Ann, I also use mayo, relish and ketchup to make Thousand Island Dressing. I've never used the hard boiled egg in it, though. I'll have to try that.

My tartar sauce has these same ingredients but I also add chopped green olives and sour cream.
